1. Open the test catalogue module from your facility.
2. Add each test with its price, sample type, and reference ranges.
3. Add pediatric reference ranges where children's normals differ from adults.

💡 Tip: Accurate reference ranges here flow straight onto the final report, so a pathologist never re-types normals for every patient.

📋 From Order to Sample

Every patient journey starts as an order and ends as a report. The order is the boarding pass that follows the sample everywhere.

1. Register or find the patient (their UHID links their history across visits and facilities).
2. Create an order by selecting tests from your catalogue.
3. Collect the bill or apply a waiver at billing.
4. Hand off to sample collection.

🏠 Home sample collection

For patients who can't visit, use home sample collection: assign a sample collector, who has their own focused workspace to see pickups, collect, and mark samples as taken — then samples enter the same lab flow as walk-ins.

🔬 Run the Lab Workflow

The lab is a relay race. Each runner has one job and passes the baton cleanly, so nothing is done twice and nothing is skipped.

Order → Sample collected → Bench work → Pathologist verification → Report

1. Lab technician performs bench work and enters results.
2. Pathologist reviews and verifies — the safety gate before anything is released.
3. The system generates a combined PDF report — many tests in a single, clean report instead of one PDF per test.
